SIMSPON FINANCE CHARACTERS REBRANDING
We have rebranded our characters for the NFT cards
Greetings Simpson Finance Family,
We bare good news as we always do, We have rebranded our character set. Let me give you a brief how things turned out. We have started Simpson Finance NFT project as an experiment. And the community reaction to it has been immense from the beginning. We never wanted to raise any funds or anything shady. Frankly, we never thought we could come this far because it was all about fun in our part.
Nevertheless, Once the community interests kicked in. We took everything more seriously. The name “Simpsons” is a well known brand name through out the world. We never wanted any copyright infringements issues from the first place. Hence the reason why we stayed away from the brand name “THE SIMPSONS”. We came up with “SIMPSON FINANCE” We never use their brand name directly which will be a legal issue.
Subsequently we reached out to FOX Broadcasting Company which is the sole owner of broadcasting rights for “The Simpsons”. Following is the response we got which ain’t much. They do not review anything which is not submitted through an authorized agency.
Then we reached out to our lawyers about the issue. They said Name usage is not the problem but graphics for NFT cards must not be their IPs. The Original characters can’t be used for the NFT cards. They advised us to rebrand the characters. And here we are.
NEW CHARACTERS
Our designer came up with the following characters for the Simpson finance. He changed it in a way that new characters represent the original characters’ aura. In our honest opinion. These are better than the original ones ;) We will use the new characters for the NFT cards and will keep the same names which won’t be an issue.
SUMMERY
We have addressed the copyright issues and taken correct measurements to avoid any legal implications. Hope our community is clear on copyright issues now onwards :) New NFT cards are on the way once it’s out we will show you all.
